North American Kitchen Solutions Inc., a factory-direct manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems, has acquired Lane Mechanical Inc., a commercial kitchen sheet metal fabricator. Lane Mechanical’s line includes commercial kitchen hoods, stainless-steel sinks, worktables, dish tables, expo lines and more.

The acquisition will add a second manufacturing plant for NAKS. Sacha Polakoff, NAKS CEO and president, said the move will expand the company’s footprint, and enhance speed to market and production capacity. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. NAKS funded the transaction, said Polakoff; NAKS is owned by private equity firm The Weinberg Capital Group. Additionally, HoodMart falls under the NAKS umbrella. HoodMart manufactures ventilation systems, hoods and walk-ins.
