Bernard Acoca has resigned from his roles of president, CEO and director for El Pollo Loco. Acoca left El Pollo Loco to pursue other opportunities, per a release announcing the transition.

Larry Roberts, El Pollo Loco’s chief financial officer, will serve as president and CEO on an interim basis. Acoca will also act as a consultant to “ensure a smooth transition,” the company added in making this announcement.

Roberts has more than 25 years of experience in financial and operating roles in the restaurant industry, including serving as the CFO of El Pollo Loco for the past eight years. Prior to joining the company, Roberts served as CFO and COO of Yum Brand’s Kentucky Fried Chicken division.
