Pieology appointed Bijan Sami to serve as the restaurant chain’s chief operations officer and information officer. As the title implies, Sami assumes responsibility for leading both the global operations and technology roadmap for the company.

Sami spent the past 17 years with Luna Grill, serving in a variety of capacities including chief operating officer and chief procurement officer. His responsibilities at Luna Grill also included the areas of technology and systems. Sami began his career in the semiconductor industry, with such companies as Qualcomm, Ericsson, Nokia and Conexant.
