AHF Announces Election Results

The members of the Association for Healthcare Foodservice elected three individuals to officer positions and three more to serve at-large positions on the organization’s board of directors. 

Robert Darrah will serve as president-elect of AHF’s board of directors. His term as president-elect will begin Jan. 1, 2022. Darrah will then become AHF president on Jan. 1, 2023. Darrah is the director of dining services for Legacy Retirement Communities in Lincoln, Neb. He has served on the AHF board of directors for 10 years.

Leisa Bryant, MBA, MA, RDN, LD will serve as treasurer-elect. Bryant is the director of Food & Nutrition Services at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Bryant currently serves on the AHF board as the secretary.

Thom Pastor, MBA will serve as secretary. Pastor is the Food & Event Services Manager at St. Charles Healthcare in Bend, Ore., and serves as a current director at large on the AHF board. 

In addition, the AHF members elected the following three individuals to serve as directors at-large on the AHF board of directors: Steve Cerullo, senior director of foodservice, Geisinger Health System, Wilkes Barre, Pa.; Julie Meddles, MS, RDN, LD, director of Nutrition Services and gift shops, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio; and Neal Lavender, MHS, RHR, CDM, executive director, JPS Health Network, Ft. Worth, Texas. This is Lavender’s second term.

Their terms will begin Jan. 1, 2022.
