Welbilt will become the distributor of Nuovair blast chillers in the U.S. and Canada. The multiline foodservice equipment manufacturer will also distribute AeroTherm, a portable air purifier, in the U.S.
Based in Italy, Nuovair specializes in blast chillers. And the company is affiliated with La Nuovagel, a maker of ice cream technology for more than 45 years.
AeroTherm is a portable air purifier developed by Trotec and features a touchscreen user interface, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity developed by Welbilt. The product is suitable for use in restaurants and other foodservice operations, as well as offices, etc.
These two distribution agreements come on the heels of Welbilt reaching a deal to be acquired by Middleby. That deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
