Andrew Bachovin, a longtime member of the foodservice industry, died on Jan. 18, 2021. He was 74 years old.
A graduate of Drexel University, Bachovin’s foodservice career includes working with such companies as Aramark and Vulcan-Hart. In 1999 he founded the Bachovin-Healy Group, an independent manufacturers’ rep firm serving the Philadelphia area which now goes to market as 4 Star Reps. He retired from 4 Star Reps in 2015 and Karen VanPelt Higgins took over the company.
He was a Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP) and member of the Manufacturers Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry, having served on MAFSI’s board of directors and being an active participant on the regional level.
Bachovin served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam war.
A viewing will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 at the Gardner Funeral Home in Runnemede, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church in Philadelphia and The Arden Quinn Bucher Memorial Fund.
