Sami Siddiqui has been appointed president of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. Siddiqui previously served as president of Asia-Pacific for Restaurant Brands International, Popeyes’ parent company.

Siddiqui replaces Felipe Athayde, who is leaving to pursue another opportunity outside of the quick-service restaurant industry, per a company source. Siddiqui and Athayde will work together transitioning the role throughout the month of September.
