Production of a Master-Bilt Line to Remain in Mississippi

Refrigerated Solutions Group will not completely shutter its New Albany, Miss., manufacturing operations after all.

Due to strong customer feedback the company plans to continue manufacturing its Master-Bilt BEM/BEL Endless Glass Door Merchandiser Series at this location, operating from a more focused manufacturing footprint.

“The RSG leadership team has worked diligently to strengthen the overall customer experience by listening to the voice of our customers, employees, and the local community. As a result, we made the decision to continue production of the Endless Merchandiser and to keep operating a portion of the New Albany plant,” says John Ioannou, chairman of RSG, in a release. “Our goal is to become a healthier long-term partner and I am proud of the decisions our team has made and am pleased with the outcome for all of our stakeholders.”

This announcement caps an active 14-month period for the New Albany facility. In June 2019 the plant experienced a significant fire but bounced back. And then in May of this year, RSG announced its previous intention to close the Mississippi facility as part of the company’s plans to consolidate manufacturing operations in Wisconsin.

Just last month, RSG made a series of updates to its leadership team, with Ioannou becoming chairman and Aaron Brown becoming president.

The Master-Bilt BEM/BEL Endless Merchandiser Series is suitable for use in a variety of small footprint retail and convenience stores.
