Designers are invited to share their vision of what concepts will look like in the future by participating in the Pioneering Concept competition sponsored by HX: The Hotel Experience.
This competition looks to showcase customer-focused, revenue-generating foodservice designs. These concepts should be able to operate in nontraditional venues using ventless equipment and require minimal plumbing. The deadline to participate in this thought-provoking competition is May 15. HX will showcase the winning concept during its trade show, which takes place Nov. 8-9 in New York City.
The 2019 winning design was Duality, a pop-up kitchen concept developed by Joe Schumaker, FCSI, founder and CEO of FoodSpace. The fully customizable concept supported the trend of allowing operators to prep, cook and serve more food in less space.
