CEC Entertainment chose someone with experience in the family entertainment, media and theme park industries to fill its CEO role. David McKillips was appointed CEO for the multiconcept operator whose portfolio includes the Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza restaurant chains.
He replaces Tom Leverton, who has resigned as CEO of CEC after five years in the post.
McKillips’ background includes more than 25 years of experience in the family entertainment, media and theme park industries. Most recently, he served as president of the International Development Company for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. During his tenure with Six Flags, McKillips also served as senior vice president, in-park services, leading the food and beverage, retail, games and procurement functions across all U.S. Six Flags parks. Prior to joining Six Flags, McKillips served as vice president of advertising &and custom publishing sales for DC Comics, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment.
