Private equity firm Brentwood Associates has acquired a majority interest in restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick from Eagle Merchant Partners. Terms of the deal are confidential.
Eagle Merchant Partners acquired Chicken Salad Chick in May of 2015 from founders Stacy and Kevin Brown. At the time, the fast-casual concept had 32 locations in operation. Today, Chicken Salad Chick has 137 locations throughout 16 states predominantly in the Southeast. As its name implies, the restaurant chain is known for its made-from-scratch chicken salads.
At the time of Eagle Merchant Partners’ Acquisition of Chicken Salad Chick, Scott Deviney was appointed CEO and he will continue to lead the business, per a release announcing the latest deal.
