Jim ShanerJim Shaner was named director of ceramic engineering for The Homer Laughlin China Company. He replaces Michael Tkach, who has retired after 20 years with the company.
Shaner joined HLC in 2017. His 30 years in the ceramics industry includes working with Du-Co Ceramics and Saxonburg Ceramics.
In his new role, Shaner will manage the HLC lab and a team of engineers and supervisors.
