Bargreen Ellingson has acquired The Restaurant Source, a Denver, Colo.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership, from Arnie Schatz and his children, Michelle Friedman and Linda Schatz.

Michelle Schatz, president of The Restaurant Source, will remain with the company for several weeks to help with the transition. Over the next six months, Bargeen Ellingson will transition its existing Denver operation into The Restaurant Source's facility. Jason Wirth, general manager of Bargreen Ellingson's Denver location, will serve as manager of the combined operation.

In 2015, The Restaurant Source reported revenues of $23.7 million, making it the 62nd largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer in the country, according to FE&S' 2016 Distribution Giants Study. Bargeen Ellingson reported revenues of $222 million in 2015.
