Kendall College promoted Chef Dina Altieri to dean of its School of Culinary Arts. Altieri was a chef-instructor and associate professor at the college for seven years.
A veteran of the foodservice industry for nearly 25 years, Altieri's background includes working at the James Beard House in New York City; the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, Calif.; Fino in Torrance, Calif.; Descanso in Hermosa Beach, Calif., and More Than A Mouthful, Inc., in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.
Altieri entered the education side of the hospitality industry in 1997, when she began working as a chef-instructor and department chair at California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena. From there, she went on to serve as associate dean and chef-instructor at New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vt.
