FEDA Announces 2014 Convention Details

Foodservice equipment and supplies dealers will gather in Southern California for the association's annual meeting.

The Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association will host its 2014 Annual Convention March 26-30 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, Calif. In advance of the event, FEDA has released a series of programming details.

The general session presentations include:

  • The Happiness Advantage: Linking Positive Brains to Performance by Shawn Achor, an author and past head Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, will discuss the science behind positive psychology and practical applications for reaping the Happiness Advantage in the midst of change and challenges.
  • From the Streets to the Stove...The Power of Potential by Chef Jeff Henderson. The creator of the Chef Jeff Project will share his inspiring story that took him from the streets of Central Los Angeles and San Diego to achieving his dreams.

Other sessions of note include:

  • Understanding the World's Largest Economy and Tomorrow's New Future by Lowell Catlett, PH.D., Regent's Professor/Dean and Chief Administrative Officer at New Mexico State University's College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences

Jack Lewis of Mission Restaurant Supply is chair of the FEDA 2014 Annual Convention and Paul Parr of Hockenbergs is serving as assistant chair.
