The Commercial Food Equipment Service Association announced the winners of its 2024 board of directors’ elections and the recipients of its biennial awards.

Members of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) elected three individuals to two-year terms on the organization’s Board of Directors.

The Commercial Food Equipment Service Association elected its new board of directors and honored a handful of members for their achievements. Specifically, Nick Cribb of Georgia-based Sam Service was elected to serve a two-year term as CFESA president.

While labor is always an issue for restaurant operators, it has become one of the industry’s biggest challenges in the post-pandemic era. In response, many operators now are taking a hard look at time- and labor-saving kitchen equipment. When it comes to these units, there’s more to consider than the price tag and the full-time employee costs they could save.

Supply chain issues have made repairing old equipment and purchasing new units harder than ever. Understandably, some operators must now consider purchasing new equipment from manufacturers that are new to them and, in some cases, they may have never even heard of these companies before. Often this equipment is far cheaper than the known factories.
