The XDGX supplies 800 to 15,000 cfm of outdoor air and keeps kitchens comfortable with temperature control. It is direct gas-fired, heating outdoor air over a gas furnace for exceptional efficiency and quick responsiveness to changing conditions. It also has the option of packaged direct expansion (PDX) cooling, which is factory-integrated into the unit and designed for high ventilation loads of up to 100% outdoor air.

Why Choose Direct Gas-Fired Heat?
Compared to systems using a heat exchanger, direct gas heating has higher thermal efficiency because nearly all the heat from combustion is transferred directly to the airstream. The XDGX has an efficiency of 92%, which allows it to cost-effectively heat large volumes of air up to 1,600,000 Btu/hour.
The direct gas furnace also features a wide 25:1 turndown ratio—the ratio between maximum and minimum heating output—which allows the unit to deliver more precise output temperatures, hitting the desired set point without overshooting or cycling. With no heat exchanger, the XDGX also has fewer moving parts to maintain or clean and a simpler installation process.
Built for Safety, Backed by Testing
Keep the kitchen cool with the XDGX’s optional PDX system, which offers 3 to 16 tons of packaged cooling through environmentally friendly, low global warming potential (GWP) R-454B refrigerant. As these new EPA-compliant refrigerants carry a low flammability potential, Accurex has innovatively re-engineered the XDGX to safely incorporate R-454B. The unit has all UL- and ANSI-required features, including advanced leak detection and mitigation systems.

The XDGX features factory-installed microprocessor control sequences for everything from adjusting airflow and temperature to fire safety. It has a modular design to be flexible with different configurations as well as durable construction made of heavy-gauge G90 galvanized steel. Vibration isolators under the fan and motor assembly minimize noise transmission into the building.
