LoneStar Restaurant Supply Acquires CPAPC
LoneStar Restaurant Supply, an Austin, Texas-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, has acquired the assets of CPAPC Restaurant Design and Supply, a Dallas-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership. In addition to purchasing CPAPC’s assets, roughly ten employees, including sales, warehouse and other support staff are now employed by LoneStar, according to Mark Jansen, president of LoneStar. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
O’Toole Named Vice President of Marketing at Manitowoc
Dennis O’Toole was named vice president of marketing for Manitowoc’s North America Ovens and Advanced Cooking Technology company, which combines Cleveland, Lincoln, Merrychef USA, Garland convection ovens and Convotherm USA ovens.

Krispy Kreme Promotes Bay as Lineberger Exits
Steve Lineberger, senior vice president in charge of U.S. franchise operations for Krispy Kreme has stepped down. Cindy Bay was promoted to senior vice president of U.S. franchises and company stores for Krispy Kreme.
Burger Consumption Increases
Burger consumption is up considerably since 2009, according to a study by Technomic, a Chicago-based market research company. Nearly half of the consumers surveyed said they eat a burger at least once a week, up from 38 percent in 2009. Technomic attributes the rise to the continued prominence of burgers on quick-service value menus.
