Electrolux Professional Products has acquired UNIC S.A.S., a French manufacturer of commercial grade espresso machines. 

UNIC manufactures fully automatic as well as traditional espresso machines. The 100-year-old UNIC had combined net sales of approximately $22.4 million (EUR 20 million) in 2018 and 130 employees, per a release announcing the deal. Its headquarters and main manufacturing facility are located in southern France and the company has operated a branch office in Seattle since 2007.

Grindmaster-Cecilware has distributed a portion of the UNIC product line in North America and Latin America under the Grindmaster brand since 2018, per a release.

The acquisition comes a few months after AB Electrolux announced plans to separate its Professional Products Division to create two publicly traded companies.
