Foodservice Equipment & Supplies will present longtime foodservice consultant William Caruso, FFCSI, of William Caruso & Associates, with the magazine’s 2023 Hall of Fame Award.

Caruso will accept his award during the FE&S 2023 Dealer of the Year & All-Industry Awards Gala, which will take place Saturday, May 20 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.

“With all he’s accomplished over the course of his career, Bill Caruso is someone who could very easily rest on his laurels. But that’s not Bill’s way,” said Maureen Slocum, publisher of FE&S. “Bill still wants to be of service to the industry and continues to do so by mentoring young foodservice professionals. He also advises dealers and manufacturers on the best way to work with consultants and thereby strengthen the overall supply chain.”

In 1986, Caruso founded foodservice consulting firm William Caruso & Associates, which would later become WC & Partners. The firm worked on foodservice projects around the world. In December 2019 WC & Partners implemented a succession plan which transitioned leadership to Michael Caruso and Stephen Young. William Caruso remained connected to the company in an advisory capacity. Later that year, the company rebranded itself as YoungCaruso, and today the firm continues to specialize in food, beverage, waste management, management advisory services (MAS) and design services.

William Caruso remains active with the Foodservice Consultants Society International, serving in various leadership roles over the years. In fact, he served as president of the FCSI The Americas division and on the board of directors for FCSI Worldwide between 1984-1986 and then again from 2020 to 2022. He will serve one more year as past chair for FCSI Worldwide on its board of directors.

Additionally, in 1989, FE&S presented Caruso with its Top Achiever – Consultant Award.
