The Middleby Corporation has bought Firex Srl, a manufacturer of steam and sous vide cooking equipment.
Based in Sedico, Italy, Firex has approximately $20 million in annual revenues, per a release announcing the deal.
This marks Middleby’s third acquisition of 2018 and its first in the commercial foodservice equipment space. In February Middleby acquired Hinds-Bock Corporation, a manufacturer of solutions for filling and depositing bakery and food product. Then in March Middleby bought e.Ma.C, a designer and manufacturer of handling, automation and robotics solutions for protein food processing lines.
