Restaurant industry veteran will oversee area directors for the fast-casual concept's nine company-owned locations.

Kevin Anderson was promoted to vice president of company operations for Newk's Eatery, a fast-casual concept.

In his new role, Anderson will lead area directors for Newk's nine company-owned restaurants, manage the company's product testing, and oversee the manager-in-training program as well as new store opening training and development.

Anderson joined the company four years ago as general manager of a Jackson, Miss., Newk's training restaurant, and rose to an area director overseeing company-owned restaurants during the company's rapid expansion in recent years.
