Beautiful Brands International (BBI) announced plans to open its first multi-branded stores in Durant, Okla., and Raleigh, N.C. The new stores will feature the company's Rex's Chicken, FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt and Smallcakes Cupcakery concepts.

California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPKI - News) launched its first airport location in Mexico. Opened by CPK franchise partner Grupo Calpik, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and operated by Mera Corp., the new quick-service restaurant is located in Terminal 2 at the Cancun International Airport.

The Greene Turtle completed a four-unit franchise deal that will add three locations in Delaware and put the sports bar on the map for the first time in Chester County, Pa.

LongHorn Steakhouse opened two new restaurants: one in McAllen, Texas and one in Greece, N.Y.

Tilman J. Fertitta commenced an all-cash offer through his affiliate LSRI Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Landry's Restaurants, Inc. to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq:MSSR - News) not already owned by Fertitta or his affiliates for $9.25 per share. Unless extended, the offer and withdrawal rights will expire at midnight EST on May 6, 2011.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. (NASDAQ:PFCB - News) signed a long-term licensing agreement with Interaction Asian Restaurants L.P. to develop and operate P.F. Chang's China Bistro in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. The first location is scheduled to open in 2012.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a division of AFC Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: AFCE), launched a growth plan to increase its presence in Tampa and Orlando, Fla., and is hosting franchising seminars in the state.

UFood Restaurant Group, Inc. (OTC.BB:UFFC - News) will build two UFood Grills at Salt Lake City International Airport, Salt Lake City, Utah. The new restaurants are a part of the airport's revitalized concessions program and will be owned and managed by franchisee Hojeij Branded Foods, a boutique company specializing in airport food and beverage concessions development, operations and managing contracts.
