Casual dining chain California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (Nasdaq:CPKI), opened its third location in Dubai with franchise partner, Gourmet Gulf Company.

Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue opened a new location in Austin, Texas.

In a deal with an estimated value of $27 million, DineEquity, Inc. (NYSE:DIN - News), parent company of Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar and IHOP Restaurants, agreed to sell 30 company-operated Applebee's restaurants in the Washington, D.C. market to Potomac Family Dining Group.

LongHorn Steakhouse opened its first location in Whitehall Township, Pa.

O'Charley's Inc. (NASDAQ:CHUX) announced that it has closed 11 underperforming O'Charley's restaurants and five underperforming Ninety Nine restaurants.

Pizza Inn (Nasdaq:PZZI) opened one of its buffet-style restaurants in Blytheville, Ark.

Saladworks signed a franchise agreement to develop three locations in the Austin, Texas market. The first unit is scheduled to open in mid-2011.

Smashburger signed a development agreement with 25/20 Management that calls for the franchisee to open a location in the New York borough of Brooklyn.

Yogurt Mountain opened a location in Charleston, S.C.
