Paul Nishiyama will become president of Yoshinoya America, effective June 1, 2025. Nishiyama joins the Japan-based restaurant chain from Better Buzz Coffee, where he served as chief operating officer.

Yoshinoya’s history traces all the way back to 1899, when it opened its first restaurant in Japan, per a company release. The company now has more than 2,000 restaurants, including 100 in California. Yoshinoya also has locations in Japan, Mainland China, Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines.
