Edward Don & Company made a series of promotions and other personnel moves within its sales and merchandising departments.

These moves include:

• Pete Angenend now serves as vice president of field sales. He previously served as the dealer’s managing director of merchandising and sales. In his new role, he will lead field sales as the company expands its national footprint, with a focus on multi-unit operations, per a release.
• Roger Mellum, a 39-year company veteran, was promoted to vice president of national account sales.
• Wendy Abney was appointed vice president of merchandising, marketing and e-commerce. Abney previously served as president of Supplies on the Fly, which, like Edward Don & Co., is owned by Sysco. Abney also serves as vice president of integration for Sysco.
• Matt Claude now serves as director of merchandising, consumables.
• Shannon Tallon was promoted to director of merchandising, front of house.
• Kim Worley was promoted to director of merchandising, back of house.

In October of 2023, broadline distributor Sysco Corp. reached an agreement to acquire Edward Don & Company, which is a Woodridge, Ill.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer. Sysco already owned Supplies on the Fly.
