Multiconcept operator Bloomin’ Brands hired Delta Airlines exec Michael Spanos to serve as its chief executive officer, effective September 3, 2024. He replaces David Deno, who announced his retirement in May of 2024.

Spanos most recently served as Delta's executive vice president and chief operating officer. Spanos also served as CEO and president of Six Flags Entertainment. His resume includes leadership positions with PepsiCo.

Bloomin’ Brands' portfolio of concepts includes Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
