Winholt Equipment Group added a product manager and a territory sales manager as the company prepares to open another manufacturing facility.

Dawn Carlson joins Winholt’s marketing team as a product manager. She comes to Winholt from Star Holding Group, a Middleby Company. In her new role, Carlson assumes responsibility for developing product line strategies, including pricing, position, rationalization, and new product development, per a company release.

Alex Ramos joins Winholt as the territory sales manager in Florida. Ramos comes to Winholt from Unox, where he served in a regional sales role covering South Florida and the Caribbean. His foodservice industry career began in sales with Chefs Warehouse, developing its Palm Beach territory.

The hiring of Carlson and Ramos comes as New York-based Winholt Equipment Group prepares to open a manufacturing facility in Florida. The company already has manufacturing locations in California, Pennsylvania and Texas. Winholt expects the Florida facility to open in July.
