Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream hired Jennifer Schuler to serve as chief executive officer for the 130-unit chain.
Schuler spent the previous nine years at Wetzel’s Pretzels, most recently serving as its CEO. During her time as CEO, Wetzel’s grew its store count from 200 to 350 units and average unit volume grew by 24%, per a release. Schuler’s background also includes five years as a marketing manager with General Mills.
In 2019, Handel’s reported annual revenues of $29 million and company projections call for sales to exceed $130 million in 2024, per a release.
