David Castino passed away on January 2, 2024. The 63-year-old Castino was president of Castino Restaurant Supply, a California-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer.
Castino began working for his father at Castino Restaurant Supply at the age of 13, often working after school and on weekends, per a memorial. He was also a volunteer firefighter with Rincon Valley Fire Protection District, serving over 30 years. Over the years he served as a volunteer lieutenant, volunteer captain, and a part-time paid engineer.
Castino is survived by his wife, Susan, whom he met through the business; son David Jr. and daughter Sarah. Castino is also survived by his father, David Castino, Sr., and mother Rita Okersterom; sister, Laurel Webster, brother Douglas Castino, and his stepbrothers and stepsister, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and many friends. Castino is preceded in death by his stepfather Steve Okersterom.
