Dunne Rite Solutions added Bob Alban to its team as a vice president of project management and partner for the New Jersey-based foodservice equipment and supplies distributor that also offers consulting services.

Over the course of his career, Alban has worked with several foodservice equipment and supplies dealers and his client base has included independent restaurants, hospitals, correctional foodservice, senior care facilities, and schools. Alban’s expertise is in selling heavy equipment, per a company release. He represents the third generation of his family to work in the foodservice industry, as Alban followed his father and grandfather into the business as he told FE&S in this interview.

Alban represents the latest in a series of new hires for Dunne Rite Solutions. For example, Dunn Rite hired Darren St. Romain, a 25-year industry veteran, to serve as vice president of sales.

Given that the dealer segment represents a fairly mature aspect of the foodservice industry, Dunne Rite is a relative newcomer. Co-founders Brian Dunne and Dave Persaud opened the business in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, which hit in 2021. The impetus for the company came from helping out an operator who was severely impacted by the storm, per the company’s website.
