Former Reynolds Consumer Products executive Craig Cappel was named chief executive officer of Hoffmaster Group, Inc., a manufacturer of disposable tableware products. Hoffmaster is a portfolio company of Wellspring Capital Management and Gamut Capital Management.

Craig CappelCappel replaces Rory Leyden, who has served as Hoffmaster’s president and CEO since 2008. Leyden will retire from day-to-day management of Hoffmaster, while continuing in his role on the company’s board of directors.

Cappel’s background includes serving as president of Reynolds as well as president of its Hefty Tableware line. Prior to that, Cappel served as the chief procurement and technology officer for the Rank Group of companies which included responsibility for an $8 billion sourcing operation, per a release.
