Truluck’s hired Thomas Dritsas to serve as its corporate executive chef. In this role, Dritsas will work side by side with the chain’s chefs to oversee Truluck’s culinary teams while creating dishes that will help its menu continues to evolve.
Dritsas began his culinary career by working for The Buckhead Life Restaurant Group in Atlanta, before going on to create a number of independent restaurant concepts, per a release announcing his hiring. In 1999, Dritsas joined Sullivan’s Steakhouse, which was owned by Lone Star Steakhouse. In 2003 he became the company’s corporate executive chef overseeing 267 Lone Star Steakhouses, 20 Sullivan’s Steakhouses, 21 Texas Land & Cattles and 16 of the Dallas-based Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouses. Dritsas was later part of the group that formed Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. He served as chief culinary officer and corporate executive Chef of DFRG until 2019. He most recently served as culinary concept chef for Whiskey Cake and Ida Claire under the FB Society Umbrella.
Truluck’s has restaurants throughout Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Washington, D.C. The chain plans to open new locations in Austin, Texas; Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Plano, Texas in 2023.
