Boston Showcase Company made a series of leadership updates to Newton, Mass.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, including the introduction of a new president and CEO.
Andy Starr was appointed to the newly created position of CEO. In this role he will focus on inside and outside sales, finance and accounting and smallwares operations. Matt Starr will become the fifth president in the 109-year history of the company. In this role he will concentrate on business development, project management, equipment layout and design services, and equipment operations. Andy Starr and Matt Starr are cousins and represent the family’s fourth generation to lead Boston Showcase.
Brothers Alan Starr and Jack Starr, previously president and vice president, will assume the role of owner and remain active in the business, per a company release. “We were fortunate to inherit the business from our father and have been amazed by the work that Matt and Andy have put in for the past 15 years to get to this point," said Alan Starr.
In 2022 Boston Showcase added its 60th employee and received the Model Workplace Award from the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association.
Boston Showcase reported annual sales of $27 million for 2021, making it the 58th largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer in the country, per FE&S 2022 Distribution Giants study.
