BRIX Holdings named former TGI Friday’s executive Sherif Mityas as chief executive officer for the multiconcept operator. BRIX also introduced Dawn Petite as brand president for its Friendly’s Restaurant Group.

In his new role Mityas assumes full leadership of BRIX Holdings’ and Amici Partners Group’s brands including Friendly’s, Red Mango, Orange Leaf, Smoothie Factory, SouperSalad and Humble Donuts. Mityas’ restaurant industry background includes serving as chief experience officer for TGI FRIDAYS and as chief executive officer for Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery.

Petite is no stranger to Friendly’s, as she has more than 40 years’ experience working with the brand, per a company release. She most recently served as chief operating officer for the family dining concept. Petite’s resume also includes a stint as COO for J&B Restaurant Partners, a large Friendly’s franchisee.
