Sam Grano de Oro, formerly of foodservice equipment manufacturer Cadco, died on Sept. 16, 2020.
Grano de Oro started as a supervisor in the tool room of BroilKing, a housewares manufacturer that Cadco purchased in 1999. In 2000, he moved to Connecticut to become manufacturing manager at Cadco’s then-new location in Winsted, Conn. A champion of the company’s approach to lean manufacturing, Grano de Oro was eventually promoted to director of operations. He would go on to be promoted to vice president of operations and play a key role in a variety of high-profile Cadco initiatives.
In memory of Grano de Oro, Cadco has set up a scholarship fund for his youngest daughter – Samira Grano de Oro. Further information is available by contacting Cadco.
