The Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management recognized the accomplishments of six foodservice professionals with the organization’s annual Directors Awards.
Leadership Award: Rob Gordon, American Express. “Rob, although reluctant to be a nominee for this award, has led the society through some of its hardest times this year,” SHFM said in a release. “Steady and thoughtful, he has guided us through many tough decisions and provided vision, which brought success to the society when we were uncertain we could be successful. He has led when we needed leadership the most.”

Richard Ysmael Distinguished Service Award: Barbara Kane, Ecolab, Inc. Kane is a past president of SHFM, IAB member, CPC and CIC leader, as well as a Young Professional Summit planner.
Community Service Award: Zee Shami, ZeeTheCook Culinary Studio. Zee received this recognition for her involvement with the Red Cross Youth for the past four years, volunteering her time in support of various programs.
