Papa John’s to Establish Atlanta Headquarters

As the latest step in its updated strategic direction, Papa John’s International plans to relocate its headquarters to the Atlanta market.

The pizza chain will run its menu innovation, marketing, customer experience, HR; diversity, equity and inclusion; communications; and development functions will operate from the new headquarters, set to open by the summer of 2021, per a company release.

The chain’s information technology, supply chain, and legal teams will remain in Papa John’s Louisville headquarters. The pizza chain also maintains a headquarters office outside of London, England, where its international operations are managed.

“We’re thrilled to open a headquarters office in such an energetic and diverse region,” says Rob Lynch, president and CEO of Papa John’s. “Metro Atlanta’s deep talent pool and its world-class airport connecting us to the domestic and international markets that are key to our brand’s future will accelerate our long-term growth. Atlanta is also our largest corporate-owned restaurant market and the location of our newest and most sophisticated [quality control center.] The Louisville headquarters – Papa John’s home for 36 years – remains essential to the company’s success and we look forward to continuing to be a great corporate partner in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.”

The company is currently in discussions with a number of potential office locations throughout the Metro Atlanta area and expects to complete the selection process by the end of 2020.

“These changes to our corporate structure and team mark another milestone in Papa John’s ongoing transformation into a more innovative brand with a culture that is focused on diversity, inclusion and winning,” adds Marvin Boakye, Papa John’s chief people and diversity officer.
