Don Hinshaw, The Sterno Group CEO, plans to retire effective Dec. 31, 2020. Upon Hinshaw’s retirement, Craig Carnes, group president, Foodservice Products Group, will become CEO of The Sterno Group.

Hinshaw will continue as a member of the company’s executive board. Carnes will continue to oversee the Food Service Group once the transition is complete.

Hinshaw joined Candlelamp 12 years ago and oversaw the acquisition of Sterno, along with the acquisition of three other companies, Sterno Home (formerly known as NII Northern International), Sterno Delivery and Rimports.

Earlier this year, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sterno updated its product lines to include the making of masks and hand sanitizer.
