McDonald's Corporation appointed Ian Borden to serve as president, international. He previously served as president, international developmental licensed markets for McDonald’s.
In his new role, Borden will assume oversight for all international markets, including international operated markets which include all wholly owned markets outside of the U.S., in addition to the more than 80 markets in the IDL segment that he oversees in his current role.
Borden joined McDonald's 25 years ago. His experience with the company also includes working in operational leadership roles in international markets and serving as chief financial officer of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa segment.
This announcement follows the November 2019 appointment of Joe Erlinger to president of McDonald's USA.
