Fast-casual salad concepts MAD Greens and Snappy Salads have merged. While the new company will operate under the name Salad Collective, the concepts will continue to go to market using their original names. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Darden Coors will serve as CEO for Salad Collective, while John Montgomery will be the company’s president. Coors and Montgomery held those same positions at MAD Greens immediately prior to the transaction. CEO and founder of Snappy Salads Chris Dahlander will step down from day-to-day operations but will remain active with the company as he assumes a role on the Salad Collective board of directors.
MAD Greens operates 33 locations across Colorado, Arizona and Texas. Snappy Salads includes 14 locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. Each fast-casual restaurant chain offers hand-crafted, customizable salads; savory wraps; soups and sides.
