Avanti Restaurant Solutions tapped Gary Coburn to serve as chief operating officer for the California-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer.

Gary CoburnIn his new role Coburn will oversee the foodservice equipment dealer’s business development, commercial kitchen project management and operations for the company’s various foodservice clients spanning such operator segments as restaurant chains, hospitality and retail. Coburn will also oversee the Avanti Design Studio, the company’s in-house team of design professionals.

In addition to his role with Avanti, Coburn is a member of the board of directors of Meals on Wheels and acts as part of the Senior Serve Food Service Advisory Council, leading Strategic Planning.

Avanti reported sales of $36.6 million in 2018, making it the country’s 39th largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, according to FE&S’ Distribution Giants Study.
