Antunes, a Carol Stream, Ill.-based commercial foodservice equipment manufacturer, launched a joint venture in Chennai, India, to manufacture water filtration systems. Antunes is partnering with NADI Airtechnics Pvt. Ltd., an India-based manufacturer of industrial fans, on the operation.

The company feels this joint venture will enhance Antunes’ ability to serve foodservice and hospitality operations throughout India and the surrounding region. Additionally, it allows Antunes’ corporate charity, Splash, to extend its outreach throughout India. Splash is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing clean water to children in urban areas in Asia and Africa. Antunes’ water filtration systems will provide clean drinking water for children in schools — safeguarding health and promoting hygienic habits, per a release announcing this venture.

The joint venture, officially titled Antunes NADI Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd., is owned by Glenn and Jane Bullock of Antunes and JB and Marlene Kamdar of NADI Airtechnics Pvt. Ltd.
