Panera Bread appointed Karen Kelley senior vice president, chief restaurant operations officer for the fast-casual chain.
A 30-plus year veteran of the restaurant industry, Kelley most recently served as the president of Tatte Bakery & Café. Prior to that was the president and COO of Sweetgreen.
Panera also introduced Anita Vanderveer as senior vice president, chief people officer. Vanderveer’s background includes working with Sonic and Yum! Brands’ Pizza Hut chain.
