The Wendy’s Company sold its stake of Inspire Brands, 12.3 percent, back to Inspire Brands for $450 million. Inspire Brands is the parent company of Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wing and R Taco.
The transaction closed August 16, 2018. “The opportunity to monetize our investment in Inspire Brands will allow us to invest in future growth for the Wendy’s brand and Company, which is our top priority,” said Todd Penegor, Wendy’s president and CEO.
