James “Randy” Kibler will serve as interim president and CEO of Bojangles, replacing Clifton Rutledge who resigned. The company plans to initiate a search for permanent president and CEO.

Kibler has served on Bojangles’ board of directors since August 2011 and served as a director and non-executive chairman from February 2014 to June 2016. From September 2007 to January 2014, Kibler served as president, CEO, and director for Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc., the company’s subsidiary that goes by a similar name. Kibler previously served as president of Kibler-Mitchell Enterprises Inc., a restaurant company in Spartanburg, S.C., from September 1996 to April 2011.
