Allen Frandsen, a longtime member of the foodservice equipment industry, passed away on January 25.
Frandsen served his country for 22 years, first as a member of the U.S. Navy and then in the Air Force, where he retired as a Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
After his military service Frandsen went to work for Wells Manufacturing in Verdi, Nev., where he eventually retired as director of technical services.
Frandsen is survived by his wife, Marge, son, Jesse, daughter Tracey, sisters Mary Jean Joslin and Patricia Nielsen and four grandchildren.
Frandsen will be interned at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors March 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1 p.m. on March 3, 2018, at St Luke's Lutheran Church, 3835 Lakeside Drive in Reno.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation in Frandsen’s memory.
