Rosalind Brewer will become group president and chief operating officer for Starbucks Corp., effective Oct. 2. Brewer is the former president and CEO of Sam’s Club and her background includes 22 years with Kimberly Clark.

In her new role, Brewer will lead Starbucks’ operating businesses across the Americas (Canada, U.S. and Latin America), as well as the global functions of supply chain, product innovation, and store development organizations. She will report to Kevin Johnson, the company’s president and CEO.
