Longtime foodservice consultant Michael Johnson, FFCSI (PP), of Culinary Design Center passed away on May 18, 2017. Johnson was a member of the Foodservice Consultants Society International Division – The Americas for more than 25 years. FCSI relayed the news to the organization’s members via email and social media.
Johnson served as president of FCSI from 1993-94. In 2005, he was inducted into FCSI’s Council of Fellows, and also received the Award for Excellence in Design. In 2008 FE&S presented Johnson with its Top Achiever – Consultant award.
A memorial for Johnson will take place Sunday, June 11 at Sandy Springs Christian Church, located at 301 Johnson Ferry Road in Sandy Springs, Ga., 30328.
The family will begin receiving guests at 1:00 pm. The service will begin at 2:00 pm, with a reception to follow.
