Johnson Ascends to Twin Peaks' CEO Role

Former Brinker executive assumes leadership position with the fast-growing restaurant chain.

Starlette Johnson is the new chief executive officer for Twin Peaks Restaurants, a 10-year-old concept with 73 locations. With Johnson joining Twin Peaks, company founder Randy DeWitt will remain active in the industry, spending more time with his other restaurant ventures that span 6 additional full-service concepts comprising 11 restaurants in the greater Dallas area, per a company release.

Johnson has served as a strategic advisor to Twin Peaks since January. She first worked with DeWitt in 2001 after Brinker acquired his Rockfish Grill chain. Johnson will report to an advisory board that includes DeWitt, who will continue to partner with her on key brand initiatives.

A restaurant industry consultant since 2011, Johnson serves on the board of Chuy's Inc., a full-service casual Mexican chain, and SusieCakes, a growing home-style bakery chain. Previously she served as president and chief operating officer of Dave & Buster's, the 60-unit entertainment and restaurant chain. Her background also includes working with Brinker where she was chief strategic officer and executive vice president at Brinker International. She began her career as director of finance for PepsiCo's KFC division.
